Fluctuation in product
conveyor speed.
Investigate and correct.
Label placement on the
product consistently poor.
Poor quality of label
adhesive.
Replace the label roll.
Air pressure too low or too
high.
Vacuum incorrectly set.
Check pressure gauge and adjust
as necessary.
Air assist tube incorrectly
positioned, damaged or
disconnected.
Air assist solenoid
malfunction.
Examine, adjust, repair, or
replace as necessary.
Air assist does not function
or is ineffective. (if a tamp
or blow-box applicator is
installed)
Applicator controller
malfunction.
Request qualified assistance
(Hotline support, refer to page 13)
Tamp home switch not
functioning (if a tamp is
installed)
Adjust the switch or replace if
defective.
Machine will not cycle.
No product detection. Re-adjust the product detector;
replace if defective. Refer to
setup instructions on page 57.
Product conveyor running
too quickly for label
application rate.
Check machine specifications for
rate versus size of label being
applied. Slow down conveyor if
necessary.
Incorrect setup
adjustments.
Refer to machine setup
instructions on page 38.
Label application rate
unable to keep up with the
product rate.
Product conveyor is out of
the allowable range (0.5-22
m/min) for applications
which use an encoder.
Slow down conveyor if
necessary.
