3. (Figure 2): Remove the 8830 Controller Cover (If not already removed).

4. Lay the 8830 Controller on a flat surface, with the Main Controller Board facing upwards.
5. Refer to the 8830 Controller Service manual and remove the Network Interface Card, It
already Installed (REP 1.10).
6. Disconnect the following connectors from the 8830 Controller, and gently guide them out
the back of the Controller and printer Right Lower Cover.
• P1 on the 8830 Controller PMC PWB
P13 on the 8830 Main Controller Board (MCB)
• P1 on the 8830 Controller Exhaust Fan
7. (Figure 3): Remove the PMC PWB.
Guide the PMC PWB
off the MCB, being
careful not to damage
the connectors
Remove two screws and
lock washers securing
the serial connector to
Connector Panel.
