8. Allow the pressure to stabilize for 1 minute,
then turn the pressure off. Monitor the pres-
sure for 10 minutes.
If the pressure drop is <0.7 psi
( 0.07 psi/min.), the system is leak
free.
If the pressure drop is much greater,
check for leaks at the valve fittings and
the column connection to the direct-tube
assembly.
Cool on-column inlet
Replacing the inlet
WARNING
Turn off the oven and turn off the inlet you
are replacing and let them cool down. Turn
off the carrier gas supply pressure, then turn
off the main power switch and unplug the
power cord.
1. From inside the oven, remove the column
from the inlet fitting.
2. From the top of the 6850 GC, remove the
blue inlet carrier cover (or the tray bracket,
if installed) and the left side cover.
