Replacing States Through Drag-and-Drop
A simplified alternative to using the clipboard to replace states within the same button is to use
drag-and-drop.
1. First select the source states. Hold down the Ctrl key while left-clicking to add states to the
selection. Hold down the Shift key while left-clicking to add a range of states to the selection.
2. With the source states selected, press and hold the left mouse button while over one of the
selected states.
3. While continuing to press the left mouse button, move the mouse over the first state to be
replaced.
4. Release the left mouse button. Beginning at the state the drop occurred over, states will be
replaced one-for-one until either the number of source states have been used or the end of the
states collection is reached. The same operation can also be performed with a right mouse
button drag-and-drop, selecting Copy over… from the drag-and-drop menu.
Popup Page Groups
Popup Page Groups provide a mechanism to group popup pages into mutually exclusive groups for
display purposes.
To create a Popup Page group:
1. Select a popup page in the Workspace Navigator (Pages tab).
2. In the Properties Control window (General tab), click Group to activate the down-arrow.
3. Click the down-arrow to open the editable field, and enter a name for the popup group folder.
4. The named Popup Group folder is created under the Popup Pages folder in the Workspace
Navigator (Pages tab).
5. To place a popup page in a particular popup group, simply drag the desired popup page(s) into
the desired group folder, or set the group association via the Group field in the Properties
Control window.
To remove a popup page from a group, select the popup page in the Workspace Navigator, and drag
it out of the group, or set the Group field to None in the Properties Control window.
If you copy/paste or drag/drop a bitmap, icon or sound state property to a button or
page in a different opened panel, only the property value is copied, not the image or
sound file itself. If the destination panel does not have an image or sound file by the
same name the operation will ultimately fail. For copy/paste or drag-and-drop
operations of individual state properties between panel files to work, an image or
sound file of the same name must exist in the target panel.
