– Identify position of flexible disc and bevel box flange to each
other.
– Remove driveshaft flexible disc from bevel box -arrows- while
counterholding at triangular flange with a lever.
– Press engine/transmission assembly slightly forward (toward
front end) and pull off driveshaft from bevel box.
Caution
Risk of damaging sealing ring -arrow- in driveshaft flange.
♦ Press driveshaft horizontally as far back and to the right
side of the vehicle as possible.
Note
If seal is damaged, driveshaft must be replaced.
– Tie driveshaft up.
– Remove the right flange shaft bolt -arrow 1- with the -T10107
A- by installing 2 bolts in the flange and counter holding the
flange shaft with the assembly lever.
Note
♦ Right flanged shaft remains in bevel box.
♦ Ignore -A and B-.
– Remove the bolts for connecting the bevel box to the manual
transmission (qty. 4) -arrows-.
– Remove the bevel box from the transmission together with the
right flange shaft.
Install bevel gear transfer case. Refer to
⇒ “4.12 Bevel Box, Installing”, page 122 .
