The pr ojector is shipped with a BRIGHTNE SS colorwheel installed. A C OLO R optimized colorwheel is included with each projector
shipment to provide users with optimal c hoice and usability. The system features a c olor wheel (CW) cassette, which also automat-
ically prompts the system to select the correct configuration template (specifically CW algorithms).
LFM warning messages: T he s ystem will pro mpt the user to contact service wh en there is 10% remaining on the CW LFM timer.
COLOR delivers the best possible color acc uracy and depth, as well as a reducing the appearance of movement artefacts caused
by the inherent sequential colors of D LP systems. This color wheel ha s a Red-Green-Red-Green s egmen
tation, which contributes
positively against movem ent artefacts by loading the primary color sequence twice per rotation o f the color wheel.
BRIGHTNESS us es a similar segmentation to CO LOR but with an emphasis on a brighter color spectrum without compromising
color saturation. This configuration m ay be used where c olor ac curacy may be traded off for h igher brightness.
The hub on each m otor has a b lack index m ark applied so that the system can detect each rotation. The timing of eac h rotation may
be adjusted in the system service menu (CW index), by pulling a slider back and forth.
Different color wheels require different algorithms to synchronize the timing caused by the physical size of the DMD agains t the
physical size of each segment on the c olor wheel.
The cor rect algorithm is au tom atically selected by the system based on t
he ID of the color wh eel in use.
Different CW s egmentation may be dev eloped mov ing forward.

As a reference color p icture, use an external source, for instance a PC and a program , for instance paint, that will give a clear red
picture (255,0,0). Set to full screen. Disable the OSD during this process , and use only the LCD panel on the projector in order to
have a clean, red picture on the screen.
