For optimal transm ission of heat away from the laser clusters, the surface of the original cooling p um p must
be cleaned thoroughly following section 7 & 8 below.
CAUTION: The re shall be no bias between the Cluster and the laser interface.
20.2.6 Cleaning the cooling pump surface
1. 1. Rem ove old thermal gasket using a plastic card or similar
Caution: Do not use m eta llic m aterials!
2. 2. Clean copper surface with an optical cloth and Isopropanol or brake & clutch cleaner.

3. 3. Add new gasket to the copper surfaces of the cooling pump, use a plastic card to make the new gasket stick properly.
4. 4. Remove the thin plastic film from new gaskets and mount cooling pump to the Laser cluster.
5. 5. Tighten screws in diagonal seq uence.
