8.2 Liquid Cooling Pumps
Article no. / Description 502-0372-xx Liquid Cooler
The primary cooling system com prises five (5) liquid cooling p umps , four for the general system and one specifically for D MD cooling.
8.3 Fans
RPM control of each fan is tightly enforced by the system processor via FPGA, and will adapt RP M based on the temperature
differential between air inlet and air outlet at any given time. Fan speed c an be affected by the m ode the projector is ru nning in
(e.g. Q uiet mode). To max imize lifetime and m inimize stress on critical com ponents, the fan system r uns idle when the projector is
in standby (projector is shut off, but power is applied). If a fan oper ates outside normal para meters (+/- 200 rpm) for more than 2
minutes, t he system will s hut down and status LED will indicate thermal failure (red flash). After toggling mains power, the system
may be restarted and fan monitor (in service m enu) activated to properly identify which fan is inoperative or operating o utside nominal
values. All nominal RPM values are recorded in Desktop mode.
Refer to Chapter 8.6 System Thermal Diagram for details regarding data for the fans.
8.3.1 Fan Radiator
Fan Radiator 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Driver are all axial-flow fans which operate by increasing the pressure of air flowing through it.
There are six (6) axial fans (119x25.5) in the system: 5 pcs for the radiators, and 1 pcs for the DMD.
