5. GP6 SY STEM FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
About
The F90 projector series is a high b rightness single chip laser phosphor projector.
The electronics s ystem is based on the Barco P ulse platform, which offers advanced functionality such as pixel shift and complex
warp and blend adjustments.
5.1 Electronic platform
About
There are two main electronic PCB’s in the unit; PCB Mainboard and PC B Thermal Hub Board.
In addition there is a power supply and a keyboard/display PCB, and some peripheral PCB’s, such as USB interface, IR receiver,
thermal sensors.
Calibrations and settings for the unit are saved in a SD card on the Mainboard. Whe n replacing the mainboard, this SD c ard must be
transferred to the new mainboard, in order to m aintain the settings for the unit. Nevertheless, som e calibrations has to be performed
again, such as the Constant Light Output, (especially in multi projector setup), and Lens S h i
ft Motors.
It is crucial that all SD card d ata is transferred to the replacement PCB in the event of repair. Failure to do
this will co mp rom ise system dynam ic data and lead to incorrect LFM notications as well as possible network
control co nicts.
5.2 I/O’s and processing tasks:
I/O’s and processing tasks:
In the m atrix below is listed the different P CB’s, and their m ain t

Together with the block diagram and th e troubleshooting matrix, this can be a helpful tool in diagnostic.
See also the “Block diagram GP6 Platform” for an overview of the s ystem.
