8.1.9 Wiring Externally Powered (4-20 mA) Transmitters
You can use externally powered transmitters. This includes 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 Volts, 1 to 5 Volts, and
0 to -10 Volts. Connect as shown in Figure 8-9 with the transmitter loop (+) connected to SIG and
loop (-) connected to COM.

condition will cause erroneous readings because the UMM will reduce its output voltage
