SECTION 7 - ENDMARKER SERVICE
page 7-8
Offset Pin at Bifold Pivot
202259M1
Adjust Inner Marker Springs
202246M1
3. Offset pin at bifold pivot.
- Adjust the offset pin at the bifold pivot to align the
bifold portion of the endmarker, making it parallel
to the toolbar.
- Loosen the 5/8" bolt (1).
- Turn the offset pivot pin (2) on the head until the
endmarker is aligned.
4. Marker break-away spring adjust.
The break-away spring should be adjusted so that it
will cycle in and out consistently without breaking
away, but when an obstacle is encountered it will
break-away. The operator should be able to break-
away the endmarker with a good tug. The endmarker
should have enough spring tension to return it to field
position.
- Adjust the eyebolts (1) to set the force of the
return spring. DO NOT stretch the length
more than 102 mm (4") initially.
NOTE: Tightening the eye bolts will increase the
return spring force.
- Adjust the adjustor bolt (2) if you wish for the
arm to break-away more easily. This bolt
adjusts the angle between the break-away
links. When the bolt is tightened as far as it
can go, the force required to breakaway the
arm will be the greatest. Under normal
condition, adjusting this bolt is usually not
necessary.
IMPORTANT: There is a washer located at the
rear of the adjustor bolt (2). Do not
remove this washer or machine
damage may result.
NOTE: Small adjustments to this bolt will make a big
difference in the force needed to activate the
break-away.
