Software Upgrade
What is the Software Upgrade Utility?
The FibeAir2000 Manager provides a Software Upgrade Utility (SWU) to upgrade the software
(firmware) of installed ODUs in a network. The update files may be located anywhere acces-
sible by the operator.
The SWU provides for:
• Prior backup of the current files prior to upgrade
• Upgrade from a list
• Delayed upgrade
• Various ODU reset options
The default location of the software files is in the installation area, and can be used to restore
factory defaults.
Upgrading an Installed Link
To upgrade software for a link:
1. In the FibeAir2000 Manager main menu, click Tools | Software Upgrade ... The
following detached window appears
