PurposeCommand or Action
Sets the domain number for the PTP profile. The allowed domain
number range for G.8265.1 profile is between 4 and 23 and the range
for G.8275.1 profile is between 24 and 43.
domain
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp)# domain
4
Step 4
Sets the timescale to PTP.timescale
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp-clock)#
timescale ptp
Step 5
Sets the time source advertised in Announce messages. Valid options
are: atomic-clock, GPS, hand-set, internal-oscillator, NTP, other,
PTP, terrestrial-radio.
time-source source
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp-clock)#
time-source ptp
Step 6
Exits PTP clock configuration mode.exit
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp-clock)#
exit
Step 7
Specifies that the clock selection behavior, i.e, the best master clock
algorithm in use, follows the telecom profile for frequency (ITU-T
G.8265.1).
clock-selection telecom-profile
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp)#
clock-selection telecom-profile
Step 8
Specifies that the parameters used in Announce messages follows
the Telecom profile for frequency (ITU-T G.8265.1).
clock-advertisement telecom-profile
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp)#
clock-advertisement telecom-profile
Step 9
Saves configuration changes.Use one of these commands:
Step 10
end
When you issue the end command, the system prompts you to
commit changes:
Uncommitted changes found, commit them
before exiting(yes/no/cancel)? [cancel]:
commit
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp)# end
Entering yes saves configuration changes to the running
configuration file, exits the configuration session, and
returns the router to EXEC mode.
or
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ptp)# commit
Entering no exits the configuration session and returns
the router to EXEC mode without committing the
configuration changes.
Entering cancel leaves the router in the current
configuration session without exiting or committing the
configuration changes.
