Configuring the Size of the Local Label
Perform this task to configure the dynamic range of local labels that are available on packet interfaces.

DETAILED STEPS
PurposeCommand or Action
Enters global configuration mode.configure
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# configure
Step 1
Configures the size of the local label space. The example shows how
to configure the size of the local label space using a minimum of 16200
and a maximum of 120000.
mpls label range table table-id {minimum
maximum}
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config)#mpls label
range 16200 120000
Step 2
commit—Saves the configuration changes and remains within the
configuration session.
Use the commit or end command.
Step 3
end—Prompts user to take one of these actions:
• Yes— Saves configuration changes and exits the configuration
session.
• No—Exits the configuration session without committing the
configuration changes.
• Cancel—Remains in the configuration session, without committing
the configuration changes.
Displays the range of local labels available for use on packet interfaces.show mpls label range
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# show mpls label
range
