Using the Operator Panel Menus and Keypad 289
• Service Lock
NOTE:
• Service Lock feature is available only when Panel Lock Set is set to Enable.
Purpose:
To specify whether to enable or disable each of the printer services, or to require a password to use the services.
Values:
Copy Unlocked* Enables the Copy service.
Locked Disables the Copy service.
Password Locked Enables the Copy service, but requires a password to use the
service.
Fax Unlocked* Enables the Fax service.
Locked Disables the Fax service (the printer will not send or receive
faxes).
Password Locked Enables the Fax services, but requires a password to send
faxes (does not require a password to receive incoming
faxes).
Fax Driver Enable* Enables the Fax Driver service.
Disable Disables the Fax Driver service.
Scan to PC Unlocked* Enables the Scan to PC service.
Locked Disables the Scan to PC service.
Password Locked Enables the Scan to PC service, but requires a password.
PC Scan Unlocked* Enables the PC Scan service.
Locked Disables the PC Scan service.
Password Locked Enables the PC Scan service, but requires a password.
E-mail Unlocked* Enables the E-mail service.
Locked Disables the E-mail service.
Password Locked Enables the E-mail service, but requires a password.
Scan to Network Unlocked* Enables the Scan to Network service.
Locked Disables the Scan to Network service.
Password Locked Enables the Scan to Network service, but requires a
password.
Scan to USB Unlocked* Enables the Scan to USB service.
Locked Disables the Scan to USB service.
Password Locked Enables the Scan to USB service, but requires a password.
USB Direct Print Unlocked* Enables the USB Direct Print service.
Locked Disables the USB Direct Print service.
Password Locked Enables the USB Direct Print service, but requires a
password.
USB Services Show When
Inserted
Enable* Shows a USB Services screen when a USB
storage device is inserted in to the printer.
Disable Does not show a USB Services screen when a
USB storage device is inserted in to the printer.
Hide Until
Inserted
Enable* Hides menus concerning USB storage device
until an USB storage device is inserted to the
printer.
Disable Menus concerning USB storage device are
shown without an USB storage device inserted
to the printer.
