3.6. Functional Checks
3.6.1. Workstation Checks
Mechanical Movement Check:
1. Push the workstation and verify that the wheels roll smoothly without vibration and that they are
securely attached to the wheels.
2. Verify the operation of the brakes of workstation:
For Brivo OEC 865:
The Workstation brake pedal has three positions that
control wheel movement. The pedal is located on the left
side of the Workstation. Check t
he pedal positions
function:
Position 1: The wheels close to the pedal roll in a straight
line, and the wheels opposite pivot freely. Place the brake
pedal this position to move the Workstation long
distances.
Position 2: Allows all the wheels to pivot freely. Place the
brake pedal i
n this position to easily maneuver the
Workstation during final positioning. Push the workstation
and verify that the wheels roll smoothly without vibration
and that they are securely attached to the wheels.
Position 3: Prevents Workstation from moving.
3. Check movement of the monitor arm for ease of movement without excessive play. Make sure
that the monitors do not move after being positioned.
Workstation Operation Check:
1. Verify Patient Information function activates the Patient Information screen. Enter patient
information ( ), display scheduled exams, display resume exams screen.
2. Verify Image Directory function ( ) allows you to enter Image Directory screen.
3. Verify the ANNOTATION function ( ) allows you to enter Image Annotation screen, if
customer purchase the option.
4. Verify the MEASUREMENT function ( ) allows you to enter Image measurement screen, if
customer purchase the option.
