8.8. Image Quality check
8.8.1. Field Size Check
1. Select relative field size, open the collimator to the maximum, and take an exposure.
2. Read the BAFT tick mark on the boundary of the image. The size of the image should be within the
range of the values below:
Displayed Image Diameter (mm)
210 ±10 155 ±8 115 ±8
3. If the requirement is not met, you must perform I.I. Field Size Calibration in 4.6.5.
8.8.2. Auto Technique Tracking
1. Select Auto Fluoro mode and the NORM field size via control panel.
2. Open the collimator Iris and leaves completely.
3. Place copper filters on the collimator and take exposure. Verify that the kVp tracks within the range
indicated in table below.
Brivo OEC 715/785
(I.I PN: 5075001):
kVp range 64±4kVp 74±4kVp 82±4kVp
Brivo OEC 715/785/865
(I.I PN: 5085917):
kVp range 62±4kVp 72±4kVp 80±4kVp
(I.I PN: 5075008):
kVp range 62±4kVp 72±4kVp 80±4kVp
4. Remove all copper filters.
5. If the kVp is not in the range, refer to 4.6.7 for calibration.
8.8.3. Image Resolution
Use the converging line pairs/millimeter (Lp/mm) tool on the Image Intensifier. Verify the resolution in
Lp/mm is equal to, or greater than the following values:
(Lp/mm)
715/785
865
715/785
865
715/785
865
≥ 2.0 ≥ 2.2 ≥ 2.6 ≥ 3.0 ≥ 3.1 ≥ 3.5
Record test results on PM checklist.
If the resolution check fails, refer to section 4.6.8 for Camera Focus calibration.
