3.4 Programming of outputs.
All used output addresses must be programmed with two parameters, an output softtype and an activation type
as described and shown below.
Both the softtype and the activation type is programmed to the output address.
The
output soft type
defines
when
an output S-ART is activated depending on different events like reading a
card or an event on an input type.
The
activation type
defines
how
the output is activated, when the output soft type decides that the address
must activate. A list of predefined activation types exists and an exact description can be found in the section
1.5.4 "Activating types".
Only the softtype for the door release output cannot freely be programmed with an activation type as the timing
is defined with the door setup menu 83.
In the list of output soft types with predefined functions are also 10 types, which have no predefined function but
can be used in IF/THEN equations together with the input types.
4 different types of equations can be made depending on the output soft type no.
- Type 90 - 94: This type of output is a latching type meaning that it will stay activated until either a
card is read or time-out by the activating type is happening.
- Type 95 - 97: This type is a non-latching type meaning that it will follow the input status or time-out
by the activating type.
- Type 98: This type is a non-latching type meaning that it will follow the input status or time-out
by the activating type. A Type 98 equation used to control the door strike will suppress
the door forced message when the equation is true.
- Type 99: As 95 - 98 but an alarm message will also be send to THOR intrusion (if connected).
