1.9 The database.
The system concept is based on distributed intelligence. All information and data about the access control and
programming is stored in each reader.
The THOR access database is divided into 2 different types, a common (global) database for all readers and a
local which can be different for each reader. In the local database the Personnel groups information, Week
programs no. 31-34, the I/O programming for the S-ART's and card reader data is stored.
The local database must be programmed in each reader but it is also possible to make a copy from one reader
to another.
All card data and week programs no. 0-30 are stored in the global database.
Please note that the global database cannot be programmed in a multi reader system, if the reader displays NO
COMMUNICATION, to assure that the global data base is distributed out to all readers.
