1.10 Anti Passback.
A powerful Anti Passback software is included in the expanded memory version of the reader.
The purpose of the anti passback function is to control that all
cardholders use their cards to be able to register all door passages. This
means that you must go out of a zone before you can enter the same
zone again.
Up to max. 16 zones can be defined, including zone 00 which is "out of the system". Each reader is programmed
to a zone where it physically is placed and an entry zone, which is the zone to where the reader (door) is leading.
All readers are registering in which zone each card is in at the moment and the number of cards are counted in
each zone.
It is possible to see how many cards are in each zone at a specific time and how many cards are totally inside
the building (not in zone 00).
The zone control (CONTROL) can be programmed with 4 different values between 0 and 3. The zone control
function defines the security level wanted for the anti Passback. The following levels can be defined:
0: No limit in the anti passback zone control. The control starts the first time the card is
read in a reader and must be followed subsequently.
1: The anti passback zone control is deleted at midnight (24:00) and the zone control
starts again the first time each card is read. The zone control starts in the zone where
each card is read.
2: The anti passback zone control is deleted each hour and the zone control starts
again the first time each card is read. The zone control starts in the zone where each
card is read.
3: No anti passback zone control. All cards can be used ignoring a possible zone
conflict.
All zone control levels will maintain the counting, also function 3.
There is no zone control of the Service card.
1.10.1 External and Internal readers on the same door in Integrated Systems.
When using an external reader type (e.g. 95T ERC) and an internal reader type (e.g. 95T ACM) on the
same
door, special functions can be achieved by programming the option bits 3 and 6 during the initialization as shown
in the following figure.
Even if the reader type is an
internal
reader type , the option bit 3
must
be set to "1". Please note that the
external reader
must
have the door control S-ART connected, meaning also the highest reader address on the
RS485 bus.
