1.4 Inputs.
The input- and output functions are specified by attributing a specific softtype for each and for the outputs also
an activation type. The terms "softtypes" and "activation types" are universal for THOR intrusion and THOR
access control systems meaning f. ex. that a specific softtype number for the same function is the same in both
systems (ex. no 07 = tamper in both systems).
1.4.1 Input types.
Inputs: The softtype indicates which actions should be taken when the input state changes including
which output softtypes will be activated.
1.4.2 Input soft type description.
The Input softtypes are divided into standard, special and logical softtypes.
Standard input softtypes:
07 - Sabotage Used for tamper contacts and access unit off-line in bus configurations.
Will also be activated by the tamper contact in the access unit. Softtype
active when input active. Activates output softtype no. 2. Is transmitted as
a THOR sabotage message and as an alarm log message.
(Common with intrusion).
13 - Battery fault Input for battery test. Active at battery fault. Fault condition is cleared
when input is normal. Is transmitted as a alarm log message.
(Common with intrusion).
14 - Mains fault Active at mains fault in one hour. Fault condition is cleared when input is
normal. Is transmitted as an alarm log message.
Special Input Softtypes:
30 - Door contact door 1 Supervision of the door contact placed on door 1. Input for a door control
procedure. If the door-strike is not released when the input is activated ,
the logical softtype 70 (door forced) will be activated. If the door is kept
open for too long time after an entry, the output softtype 72 (pre-alarm)
will be activated and later the softtype 71 (door held).
31 - Door contact door 2 Supervision of the door contact placed on door 2 (with or without
interlocking functions). If the door strike is not released when the input is
activated, the logical softtype 70 (door forced) will be activated. If the door
is kept open too long time after an entry, the output softtype 72 (pre-
alarm) will be activated and later the softtype 71 (door held).
32 - Exit push button door 1 Exit push button to open the door from inside without door forced alarm.
A change from inactive to active state will pursue the output softtype 80
(striking plate) to activate and a message is logged. A n.o. or n.c. impulse
button can be used.
