2.7 Hughes Proximity / Hands-free reader heads.
2.7.1 System description.
Hughes proximity and hands-free antennas exist in 3 different versions depending on the application and
reading distances. In this manual are described the 90T HPMin (proximity antenna 10 cm), 90T HPP (proximity
antenna 14 cm) and the 90T HPMax (hands-free antenna 46 cm).
A single door installation consists of the following materials:

All Hughes cards are passive cards and the mentioned reading distances correspond to the 90T HPC card.
Please note that the reading distances mentioned in the technical specifications for the antennas are under ideal
conditions without any disturbances from monitors, elevator motors etc. It is also recommended to install the
antenna not closer than 20 cm from the terminal 95T ERC.
To obtain a good reading distance it is important
not
to install the antennas on metal walls or frames.
