The card number field includes the number which is written on the card, and is used in connection with
placement and search in the database.
The PIN-code is the personal code that the user has to press in the programming mode, or in the case where
the door has to be released with PIN - code.
The status field includes the following information:
♦
Blocked / non blocked
♦
Messages no.
If the Blocked bit is set, the card will be rejected in all cases. This is used for example when a card is lost.
The Message no. refers to a standard message, which will be presented for the user, next time the card is used.
The Priority allows for certain rights to programme with a specific card. Which menus can be used by which
priority are described in section 1.6.6.
The Personnel group number identifies the personnel group number to which the user belongs, and thereby the
access rights which are related to the card.
1.9.2 Personnel group database.
A personnel group is a logic grouping of cards, to which there are specific access rules, rights and functions
attributed.
Every single THOR reader can handle up to 250 different personnel groups.
Personnel group no. 1
is predefined for guest cards with special access rules and rights.
Personnel group no. 250
is predefined for credit cards for opening a door to an ATM area.
The personnel group database includes the following information per personnel group:
- Thor intrusion code no
- Lock function (Thor log-in)? Yes/No
- Hold - up code? Yes/No
- Log normal access? Yes/No
- Week time program no.
- Elevator matrix no.
The Thor Intrusion code no. specifies which code identifies the personnel group in relation to the Thor alarm
system, meaning also the connection to the area which can be set/unset by a card from this personnel group.
The Lock function or Thor log-in field specifies, if the cardholder at the specific reader has the right to set/unset
or programme the alarm system. The programming rights and the definition of zones in relation to the alarm
system is programmed in the alarm system, and these information cannot be found in the database of the card
reader. The Lock function can also be used in configurations without physical integration to an alarm system. In
this case the two lock keys can be used to block or unblock the reader ("first-in" cardholder).
