It is recommended to use magnetic cards with "high coercivity" (3000 ØE), which gives the card maximum
resistance against foreign magnetic fields.
Normally, track 2 is used and data are always coded as specified for track 2 with a bit density of 3 bits/mm (75
bits/inch).
1.7.1.2 Standard Magstripe Card format.
This card format is available, when the non-encrypted option 7 and card format 13 is selected and in the
initialization procedure. The purpose of this card format is to make it possible to use some simple card formats
used by many other card distributors.
Please note
that it is always necessary to have minimum one Master card and one Service card in
encrypted
format including a full site code (O.E.M., Installer and Company no.) to programme and start the readers.
ISO standard bcd encoding is used giving the following card format:
