2.2 95T ERC Terminal for External Wiegand/Magstripe/Proximity reader heads.
The 95T ERC terminal is the 95T reader delivered without reading head. The hardware and software are the
same and the 95T ERC can be updated to a 95T reader just by adding the corresponding reading head type.
This can be done by loosening the two screws from the backside (bottom) and removing the reading head
cover.
2.2.1 Switch setting in the terminal.
The switch setting in the 95T ERC terminal follows the description from the 95T reader types. Please refer to
chapter 2.1.1. The Jumper J2 selects the external reading head interface as described in the following:
J4:
External Magnet / Wiegand reading head jumper. When the jumper J4 is installed , the interface for
the signals on the P3 terminals will be set for Magnetic reading head types.
When the J4 jumper is off, the interface for the signals on the P3 terminals will be set for Wiegand
reading head types.
Please refer to chapter 2.1.1 concerning the Technical specifications for the 95T ERC terminal.
LED control:
Please note that LED 2 terminal must be used as Green LED control. LED 1 is the inverted signal
and can be used as Red LED control if wanted.
