Set-up of the Free Programmable Card format parameters:

The following parameters can be set-up in the AIMS.INI file:

Enable=1
enables the free card format in the reader and in the AIMS software.

Card Reader No.=0401
defines that reader no 01 on bus no 04 will be used to read
the cards when programming the cards. Each time the Edit Cards dialogue box is activated in
the AIMS the reader display will indicate READ CARD and when reading the card the card no.
will be indicated in the display and in the field "Personal no." in the software

Default Format.=02xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
indicates that the cards have a site no.
02 and that all other digits are not fixed. The fixed digits are not displayed in the Edit Cards
dialogue box. Please note that there must always be written 16 digits incl. the x's and the fixed
numbers in this line.

Field text=Personal no.
species that the text before the field for the card no. will
be Personal no. Please note that the Card no. field in the AIMS Edit Cards dialogue box is now
used just as a serial no. and as a reference no. to other card dialogue boxes.

First Format Position=0
specifies that the reader will read the first digit on the
card as the first number in the personal number.

DigitLen=8
specifies that 8 digits will be read on the card beginning after the offset
specified in the above parameter.

Cardno Sort=0
. In certain menus in the AIMS the card list will be sorted after the
Personal no. and not the card no.
All parameters defined in this section is downloaded in the readers the first time the Create Command button in
the Edit Cards dialogue box is used.
