8.10 Lifting with the jib and the winch
8.10 Lifting with the jib and the winch
Caution
Look at the winch cable when you unwind the winch. Make sure that the cable is not damaged.
Stop work if the winch cable is damaged. Speak to your Hoeflon dealer before you continue
working.
Install the jib if you want to use the maximum lifting capacity of the winch.
Use the winch and the jib for a lift if:
l
it is a complex lift and you need to adapt your crane to the situation.
l
you need to repeat the same complex lift many times.
l
you need a high versatility, i.e. you need to lift:
l
over things (walls, embankments)
l
you need a long reach.
The jib is protected with a winch stop. If the hook or the hook block touches the winch stop the crane will stop
winching.
8.10.1 Winch head positions in the angle adapter
The maximum angle of the jib is limited when you install the winch head in the angle adapter. If the angle
becomes more than this maximum angle the hook block will touch the jib.
Lower position of the winch head in the adjustable
section (Position 1)
Upper position of the winch head in the adjustable
section (position 4)
