11. Transport and storage
11.1.2 Put the crane on the transport vehicle
Caution
Make sure that the transport vehicle:
l
is rated to transport the full weight of the crane (see 1.3 Type plate).
l
is large enough to contain the crane (see 3.1 Dimensions).
Use loading ramps to move the crane onto the transport vehicle.
Make sure that the loading ramps:
l
can carry the full weight of the crane (see 3.3.2 Crane and component weights).
l
are long enough so that the angle with the horizontal is less than 15°(see 7.4.2 Maximum slope
angles when moving the crane).
Caution
Use slow speed when driving up a ramp or slope.
Note
When moving the compact crane on a slope (e.g. up loading ramps onto a transport vehicle),
extend the outriggers on the LOW side to stop the crane from tilting (see 7.3 Setting the width
of the crawler track).
Note
Use an assistant when you move a crane up a ramp.
11.1.3 Securing the crane for transport
Note
Do not overload the lashing eyes. This will damage the compact crane.
