6.
Care of the battery pack
6.1 Introduction
Do not open or disassemble the battery pack or the charger.
Use a cable with a minimum conductor cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm² and a maximum length of 25 m when
you charge the crane.
Charge the battery pack at the end of each day. This keeps it balanced and in a good condition.
Make sure that the emergency stop button is OUT.
Caution
Do not use the emergency stop button to stop the compact crane during normal operation.
ONLY use the emergency stop button in an emergency.
Reset the emergency stop button as soon as it is safe to do so.
If the crane's key switch is OFF, the battery pack will charge normally.
If the crane's key switch is ON:
l
Most of the charge goes to operating the crane.
l
The battery pack will continue to charge.
l
Lower charging efficiency.
l
Longer charging time.
Fully charge the battery once a week. This maximizes the battery's performance.
6.2 Charge indicator
The C30e Compact crane has a charge indicator that shows the State Of Charge (SOC) and the charging mode
(M) of the battery pack. The indicator is on the front of the left accessory bracket.
The charge indicator is ON when the charger is connected and / or when the compact crane is ON.
The state of charge is displayed on the left LED bar. The charging mode is shown on the right LED bar.
