2. Safety
Do not:
l
Use the crane with a damaged or weakened hook, cable or other lifting equipment.
l
Lift heavier loads than the maximum permitted workload according to the load chart.
Only move loads that:
l
can move freely from the surface,
l
are directly beneath the hook,
l
are stable.
Make sure that there are no loose objects on:
l
the crane,
l
the load.
2.8 Working with long loads
Be careful when you move a long load.
Caution
The ends of a long load can move very fast.
The ends of a long load can still move even though the crane has stopped moving.
The ends can hit something and can cause dangerous situations.
2.9 Moving the crane
Before moving the crane:
l
Put the tracks in the "extended" position (if possible).
l
Be careful if you move the crane while the tracks are retracted.
l
Retract the jib and fold it in.
l
Retract and lower the boom.
l
Retract the counterweight.
l
Raise and retract the outriggers.
