7.11 Prepare the crane for use with the winch
16. Pull the small hook block out of the large hook
block.

You only use the small hook block during
lifting with the winch without reeving.
7.11.4 Reeving with the winch head
Connect the winch cable to the winch head

1. Prepare the crane (see 7.11 Prepare the crane for
use with the winch).
2. Move the winch cable in position (see 7.11.2
Move the winch cable in position).
3. Set the remote control to use the winch (see
7.11.1 Identify the winch).
4. Set the Winch reeving factor to 2.
5. Remove the pin (1).
6. Pull the winch cable out.
7. Put the winch cable over the cable sheave (2).
8. Attach the hook block (see 7.11.5 Attaching the hook block with 2 x reeving).
9. Put the cable over the wear plate (3).
Note
Align the eye in the cable with the hole that the pin goes through.
10. Push the pin back into the weight head and through the eye of the cable.
11. Safety the pin.
