7.
Installation
7.1 Daily inspection (inspection before use)
1. Make sure that the compact crane is in transport position:
l
the outriggers are UP,
l
the jib is retracted and under the boom,
l
the boom is down,
l
the counterweight is retracted.
2. Make sure that the compact crane is OFF.
3. Remove the key.
4. Do a visual inspection of the crane. Make sure that:
l
there are no oil leaks,
l
there is enough oil in the hydraulic tank, fill if necessary, (see 9.5.3 Fill the oil tank).
l
there are no loose connections,
l
there is no damage,
l
all protective caps and covers are in position and installed correctly,
l
all nuts and bolts are in position and tight,
l
all pins are in position and installed correctly.
l
all loose parts are correctly secured,
5. Do a visual inspection of the tension and condition of the crawler tracks (see 9.9.1 Inspect the tension)
l
If the tension is not correct tighten or loosen the track (see 9.9.3 Tighten a crawler track) or (see
9.9.2 Loosen a crawler track)
l
Speak to your Hoeflon dealer if a track is damaged. Do not continue working.
6. Start the crane (see 7.2.1 Starting the crane).
