2.5 During setup
When the crane is near a ditch or slope, make sure that the distance from the outrigger to the edge is at least
twice the depth of the ditch.
Look at the active outrigger during extension or retraction.
Stay away from the active outrigger during extension or retraction.
Make sure that the ground is stable and has sufficient load bearing capacity.
Make sure that the counterweight cannot touch the outriggers during slewing.
2.6 While working
Caution
If you use the crane incorrectly, incorrect and high forces can permanently damage or shorten
the life of the crane.
Warning
Stop work and move the compact crane into a safe position if a safety feature stops working or
becomes damaged.
Fully prepare the task.
Continuously monitor the work area.
Continuously monitor the tip of the boom or the tip of the jib and the load. Make sure that the boom, the jib
and the load do not hit anything.
Do not let unauthorized people in the work area.
