7. Installation
Note
In this description the winch head is installed at an angle of -30°.
If it is necessary to install the winch head with a different angle (0°, 15° or 30°) then you must
remove the roll which is identified by the arrow.

a. Unlock and remove the pin.
b. Remove the roll and the bracket.
c. Put the roll, the pin and the
bracket in the top drawer at the
front of the crane.
d. Attach the winch head to the
angle adapter as specified
above.
7.11 Prepare the crane for use with the winch
Caution
Do not use the winch without the hook block.
Note
Reeve the lifting cable if the mass of the load exceeds the capacity of the winch.

Use one sheave in the hook block for 2 x reeving,
l
Use two sheaves in the hook block for 4 x reeving (jib 5 and jib 9 only).
Note
Install a jib first if you want to use the winch on the C30e Compact crane(see 7.9 The jib)
Always use the winch together with a jib.
