11.1 Transporting a crane

Lashing points on undercarriage Front 1500 kg per eye
Rear 2500 kg per eye
Put the crawler tracks of the crane directly on the deck of the transport vehicle.
Secure the crane by attaching four lashing straps to the holes in the chassis (near the outrigger swivels). Use
straps that are rated at:
l
0.5 x the crane's weight at the front and the sides.
l
1 x the crane's weight at the rear.
Fill the space between the front of the two crawler tracks and the headboard of the transport vehicle.
l
If this is not possible then use lashing straps that are rated at 1.5 x the cranes weight at the rear.
