Chapter 4. Configuration Menus
Overview
This chapter describes the configuration menus. The Configuration Main
Menu options and all of the submenu options are illustrated in menu
diagrams and described in detail. For procedures showing how to enter
Program mode, save, recall, and print configurations, refer to Chapter 3,
“Configuring the Printer.”
Figure 4–1 shows an overview of the configuration menus.
NOTE: The menus that are displayed from the operator panel are
determined by the installed features. For example, if you ordered the
IPDS feature, then the IPDS menu would appear on the operator
panel. If the IPDS feature is not installed, then the IPDS menu will
not appear on the operator panel.
In this manual, the Coax and Twinax menus for the Coax/Twinax
feature are documented in Chapter 3, “Configuring the Printer,” and
Chapter 4, “Configuration Menus,” because many customers order
this feature at the factory. The Coax/Twinax interface for the
Multi–Platform Interface Coax/Twinax feature is documented in the
6400 Coax/Twinax Multi–Platform Interface Option Installation
and Operation Guide.
The menus for the IPDS, Code V, and IGP are documented in
Appendix E: Code V, IGP, and IPDS Menus.
Each feature is shipped with a document that describes the feature in
detail. For more information about these documents, see the
“Related Documents” section that begins on page 1–3.
The configuration menu diagrams on the following pages show the structure
of the configuration menus and the parameter options available in each
menu. The diagrams list the menus and options in the order they appear when
you use the operator panel to configure the printer. Factory default
configuration values are indicated by an asterisk (
*).
Pressing the operator panel keys (Enter, Return, Scroll°, and Scroll±)
allows you to move through the menus and select various choices for the
options, as follows:
• The Enter key allows you to move down to a lower level in the
menu structure, and to select an option value as the active value.
