Print Language
This parameter selects a print language for the Proprinter III XL emulation.
Each PRINT LANGUAGE selection supports a different foreign language
character set. A host data stream command that changes the print language
overrides the print language that is specified via the operator panel. Note that
when 0876 OCR A or 0877 OCR B is selected as the print language, the print
quality is changed to OCR A or OCR B, respectively. See the 6400 ASCII
Programmer’s Reference Manual for more information on character sets.
Alternate Character Set
This parameter determines if the characters in the hex 80 through hex 9F
range are printable characters or control codes.
• PC Character Set 1 = control codes (the default).
• PC Character Set 2 = printable characters.
Define CR Code
The DEFINE CR CODE (Define Carriage Return Code) option controls the
action of the printer when it receives a Carriage Return code (ØD hex) from
the host computer. If this feature is enabled, each time the printer receives a
Carriage Return, it inserts an additional Line Feed code (ØA hex) into the
data stream. Do not use this feature if the host computer sends Line Feeds to
the printer.
• CR = CR is the default.
• CR = CR + LF inserts an extra Line Feed after each Carriage Return.
Auto LF
The AUTO LF (Auto Line Feed) option defines the printer actions when
print data is received past the forms width setting.
• ENABLE (the default) performs an automatic carriage return and line
feed when data is received past the forms width.
• DISABLE discards any data past the forms width.
