Remove the bearings by tapping the
universal joint with a copper hammer.
Remove the universal joint/dust seals.
INSPECTION
Check the boot for holes or tears.
If any damage is found, replace the boot
with a new one.
Inspect the splines of universal joint for
wear or damage.
If any defects are found, replace the
universal joint yoke with a new one.

Ɣ If there is no abnormal condition, the
dust seal or bearing removal is not
necessary.
Ɣ The removed dust seal and bearing
must be replaced with new ones.
