Inspect the universal joint, wear and
damage.
If any defects are found, replace the
bearings, dust seal and universal joint as a
set.
Insert the universal joint to the new bearing
and check the play by turning the universal
joint, as shown.
If excessive play is noted, replace the
bearings, dust seal and universal joint as a
set.
Inspect the splines of shaft for wear or
damage.
If any defects are found, replace the shaft
with a new one.
