3.2.4 Assemble Goby™ on an IV Pole
Follow the instructions provided to assemble the Goby™ on an IV Pole:
• Attach the Goby™ Hub to the IV pole. Unfasten the thumbscrew on the mounting clamp and place it around the
IV pole; place it on the center tube for increased stability. Tighten the thumbscrew to secure into place. Insert the
Goby™ Hub into the clamp by sliding either the back or side mount on the Goby™ Hub into the slot of the clamp.
It is locked into place with the gold-colored pin screw.
• If removal of the GOBY™ Hub is necessary, gently pull out the pin screw and slide the GOBY™ Hub up and out.
Adjust the height of the
Goby™ Hub as necessary.
IMPORTANT: Do not adjust the height of the IV pole clamp with the Goby™ Hub still inserted into the mount. First
remove the
Goby™ Hub and then perform adjustments as necessary.
• Place the Urocap™ IV on the floor and use as needed for tests.
Refer to Figure 9 for identification of each component described in the setup.

3.2.5 Set up the Pump
To ensure patient safety, do not exceed a pressure of 150cmH
2
O or a volume of 750mL in the pump settings.
DO NOT ADJUST the IV pole with an infusion bag/bottle on the hook. Always remove the infusion bag/bottle before
making IV pole adjustments.
1. Insert the pump tubing spike into a 1000ml bag of saline solution.
2. Flush the line completely.
3. Clamp the line shut and hang the bag on the IV pole hook.
4. Open pump door. Position the compressible portion of pump tubing across rollers from left to right.
NOTE: the soft portion of the pump tubing should be placed at the left edge of the pump head; be careful not to
pinch tubing between V-shaped clamps on either side of the rollers.
5. Close pump door.
6. Open the roller clamp on the pump tubing.
