Application Switch Defaults 24
Integrated Administration provides application switch (system) defaults on the
Technician Maintenance menu; this menu is to be used by a qualified technician
or the system manager only. This program option displays current values and
allows a user to change the following settings used by the applications:
â–  Coverage group
â–  Automated Attendant calling group
â–  Call Answer calling group
â–  Fax Response calling group
â–  Information Service calling group
â–  Message Drop calling group
â–  Voice Mail calling group
This screen also displays the following current defaults that are used during
programming of the applications. For comparison purposes, it also shows the
current values set on the system (the
switch
):
â–  Reliable Disconnect
â–  Delay Ring
â–  Coverage Delay Interval
â–  VMS Transfer Return Interval
â–  Transfer Return Time
Using this screen, a user can change the values for the applications only. A
difference between the AUDIX Voice Power and switch (system) default columns,
other than at initial installation, indicates that the values have been changed on
the system through system programming, using the programming console or a PC
with System Programming and Maintenance (SPM). This information can be
helpful in troubleshooting problems.
â–  Backup Files. Allows a user to back up all Integrated Administration
programming to tape.
â–  Restore Files (on the Technician Maintenance menu, for qualified
technicians only). Allows a user to restore all Integrated Administration
programming from tape.
NOTE:
These functions back up and restore the application database. They
are not the same as the SPM backup and restore functions used in
system programming.
