Selection for Ready and Advance must be made according to the hardware requirements
to which the Lynx II’s sample changer is being interfaced.
Advance
Used by the Internal Chgr sample changer selection. Controls the DC quiescent state of
the rear panel’s CHGR ADV sample changer advance output signal as well as the polarity
of the advance pulse transition. An advance pulse will be produced when a Changer
Advance command is received through Genie’s manual or batch control. Pulse width is
always 150 milliseconds. Positive selects a TTL-low quiescent state and produces a TTL-
low-to-high pulse. Negative selects a TTL-high quiescent state and produces a TTL-high-
to-low pulse.

Gamma Products Sample Changer
The Gamma Products Sample Changer settings selection for the Lynx II for either a PHA
or MCS definition contains the following controls.

Reset/Start
This operation sends a Reset command to the changer to attempt to unjam the changer or
clear a timeout.
Load Sample/Start
The Load operation loads the next sample into the sample changer.
Sample Num.
The Load operation loads the specific sample number specified through the Sample Num
setting into the sample changer.
