Replacing Toner Cartridges _____
When the [%XXX% Toner Low] message ("XXX" indicates the color
toner) appears, make sure you have a replacement toner cartridge
on hand.
When the [%XXX% Toner Empty] appears and printing is stopped,
replace the indicated color toner cartridge.
Important!
To avoid toner waste and possible toner sensor errors, do
not change the toner cartridge(s) until [%COLOR% Toner
Empty] appears.
The life expectancy of the toner cartridge is 5,000 pages for A4/
letter simplex printing with default density, according to ISO/IEC
19798.
Note
The actual life of the toner cartridge can differ depending on the
usage.
1 Unpack the replacement toner cartridge.
WARNING!
• If you inhale any toner or get it in your eyes, drink
a little water or bathe your eyes liberally in cold
water. Seek medical attention immediately.
• If the machine has been turned on, the fuser unit
may be hot. This area is clearly labelled. DO NOT
TOUCH.
