1 ADJUSTING AND CALIBRATING X-RAY BEAM Chapter E: CALIBRATIONS
102 Planmeca ProOne Technical manual
If the alignment pin cannot be inserted into the positioning hole in the linear movement
block, you will have to adjust the position of the C-arm angle sensors.
To do this, first activate the emergency stop switch. Then insert the alignment pin into the
hole in the C-arm top frame and fine-adjust the C-arm position until the alignment pin
reaches the positioning hole in the linear movement block.
Now select the option Troubleshooting (T3300) on the
Technical settings
display. On the
next display, select the option PSU PCB related limit signals. The
PSU PCB related limit
signals (T3350)
display will appear.
Then, using a 2.5 mm Allen key, loosen the two screws that hold the fastening plate of the
C-arm angle sensors in position. Do not remove the screws. Manually fine-adjust the
position of the fastening plate and, at the same time, observe the setting for
Rotation
motor limit 2
on the
PSU PCB related limit signals (T3350)
display.
The position of the C-arm angle sensors is correct when the setting for
Rotation motor limit
2
toggles between
ON
and
OFF
. You can then tighten the two screws that hold the
fastening plate in position. Note, however, that the C-arm angle sensors must not touch
the ribs on the underside of the linear movement block when you rotate the C-arm. Exit the
PSU PCB related limit signals (T3350)
display by touching the green check mark button
and return to the
Patient support calibration
(T3430)
display. Now release the emergency
stop switch.
NOTE
Repeat the beginning of Step 3 if you adjusted the position of the C-arm angle sensors. You
should now be able to lock the C-arm in X1-position without problems.
