2 CALIBRATING DYNAMIC EXPOSURE CONTROL
(DEC)
Dynamic Exposure Control (DEC) is an optional feature that requires a separate DEC
licence. Refer to section 3.1 "Program: Program licences (P2100)" on page 44 for
information on how to activate a DEC licence.
Ensure that the X-ray beam is correctly aligned and the sensor calibrated before you start
DEC calibration. Check the position of the X-ray beam by taking a beam check exposure
with adult collimation as described in section 1.10 "Step 7: Taking beam check exposure"
on page 111. Refer to section 1 "ADJUSTING AND CALIBRATING X-RAY BEAM" on page
89 for information on how to align the X-ray beam and calibrate the sensor.
For DEC calibration you need a separate DEC calibration tool (part number 10017027).
You will also need the sensor calibration block (part number 10016995).
DEC must be calibrated before the DEC function can be used.
