CALIPER OVERHEATS (BRAKES DRAG)
CALIPER OVERHEATS (BRAKES DRAG)
• Compensating port plugged
• Pad clearance set incorrectly
• Parking brake lever incorrectly adjusted (If Equipped)
• Brake pedal or brake lever binding or unable to return
fully
• Incorrect brake fluid level (Overfilled Fluid Reservoir)
• Parking brake left on (If Equipped)
• Residue build up under caliper seals
• Incorrect operation of brakes
– Operator using the throttle and brakes at the same
time.
– Excessive use of the brakes.

• Air in system
• Water in system (brake fluid contaminated)
• Caliper or disc misaligned
• Caliper dirty or damaged
• Brake line damaged or lining ruptured
• Worn disc and/or friction pads

• Damaged brake pad noise insulator
• Brake pads dragging
