Access protection
In ac
cess protection, people are detected if their whole body passes through the protec‐
tive field. This type of protective device is used for the protection of access to haz‐
ardous areas. A stop signal is initiated if the hazardous area is entered. A person stand‐
ing behind the protective device will not be detected by the ESPE.
