Risk of explosion in hazardous areas due to loss of Intrinsic Safety protection.
• Shorten the ends of 󹪞ying leads to the appropriate length.
• Keep a minimal clearance of 2 mm between the wires of di󹪜erent circuits, or any circuit and
the grounded enclosure.

Ambient temperature too high
Damage to cable sheath.
• At an ambient temperature ≥ 60 °C (140 °F), use heat-resistant cables suitable for an
ambient temperature at least 20 °C (36 °F) higher.
5.1.3 For SITRANS TS100/TS200
WARNING
Use of plug connectors in explosive dust atmosphere
Danger of explosion.
Temperature sensors of the SITRANS TS100 and SITRANS TS200 series must not be used
together with plug connectors in atmospheres with combustible dust.
• Do not use plug connectors in areas with combustible dust.
