Connect inverters to the Solar-Log™
The wiring is done using a
•
ready-made data cable (supplied with the inverter).
or
•
self-made, shielded 2 wire data cable with round plug and terminal block connector.
Procedure for models up to and including 15K
1. If you are making the cable yourself, connect the wires as shown in the following diagram:

► 1 (Data+) A ► 3 RS485 A
► 3 GND ► 2 GND
► 4 (Data-) B ► 4 RS485 B
2. Connect the round plug with the inverter‘s COM1 round socket.
3. Terminate the inverter according to the manufacturer‘s instructions if no additional inverters are to be
connected.
4. Insert the terminal block connector into the Solar-Log™ RS485 socket.
Connect the inverters to each other
•
Wiring using Ginlong‘s daisy chain cable.
•
Connect the cables according to the inverter manufacturer‘s instructions.
•
Terminate the last inverter according to the inverter manufacturer‘s instructions.
Assign the communication address
•
Recommendation: Continuous numbering starting with 1.
•
Default settings on the inverter: Communication address 1.
•
Setting: Using the inverter operating display.
•
Procedure: Start according to the inverter manufacturer‘s instructions.
Procedure for models 20K and larger:
1. If you are making the cable yourself, connect the wires as shown in the following diagram:

2. Insert the RJ45 connector into the inverter‘s COM2 socket.
3. Terminate the inverter according to the manufacturer‘s instructions if no additional inverters are to be
connected.
4. Insert the terminal block connector into the Solar-Log™ RS485 socket.
