Configuration - Serial Interface Mode
The Serial Interface Configuration commands allow the user to configure the serial interface
parameters.
Enter this sub-group with the (config)# interface serial number command from the Configuration
mode.
The Serial Interface commands are represented by the (config-int-ser-{n})# prompt.
Note: Before configuring serial interface parameters, you must enable PPP encapsulation on the
interface using the encapsulation ppp command.
